Florint recently held their General Assembly where the board of the international florist association agreed on a new president-elect in 2018 – Simon Ogrizek from Slovenia, while Brian Wills-Pope from the UK was elected to serve as a board member.
Florint Education Project Manager, Mike Bourguignon, also presented a progress report about Florint’s KA2 project at the assembly, held in Sint Truiden, Belgium.
The KA2 project will focus on the development of a progressive, contemporary floristry curriculum for schools – a joint venture with Florint, and will be funded under the EU’s Erasmus+ education program.
A new member from China was also announced; Mr. Rain from the Uniflorist Association in China, gave a summary of their organisation and attendees were confident on the future benefits of working together.
